Der Europaabgeordnete Jürgen Creutzmann ist Mitglied des parlamentarischen Ausschusses für Industrie, Forschung und Energie und Stellvertreter im Ausschuss für Binnenmarkt und Verbraucherschutz.

Zwischen 1973 und 2006 arbeitete er für BASF SE, wo er zuletzt als Abteilungsleiter für das Rechnungswesen für etwa 50 Tochter- und Beteiligungsgesellschaften verantwortlich war. Seit 1983 ist Herr Creutzmann Landesschatzmeister und Vorstandsmitglied der FDP in Rheinland-Pfalz. Er ist seit Jahren in der Regional- und Kommunalpolitik aktiv gewesen, u.a. als Mitglied im Kreistag Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis von 1989 bis 2009, als Vizepräsident des Landtags Rheinland-Pfalz von 2001 bis 2006 und als Vorsitzender des Landtagsausschusses für Europäische Angelegenheiten von 2006 bis 2009. Seit 2009 ist er Mitglied des Europäischen Parlaments.

Between 1973 and 2006 Mr. Creutzmann worked at BASF SE, lastly as Director for Subsidiaries Accounting Services where he was responsible for the accountancy of around 50 subsidiaries and affiliated companies. Since 1983 he has been Treasurer and Board Member of the FDP Rhineland-Palatinate. He has held many positions in German regional politics including serving as member of the Rhineland-Palatinate District Council between 1989 and 2009, Vice President of the Rhineland Palatinate Regional Assembly from 2001 to 2006 and chairman of its Committee for European Affairs between 2006 and 2009. He was elected to the European Parliament in 2009.
